Christian Ed 201 – Prayer/SALT Class

As a Christian, prayer, Biblical truths, and principals should guide you in your day-to-day walk with the Lord.  The SALT class can teach how to utilize Biblical truths and principals in your everyday life.  The class covers 7 areas: Spiritual, Psychological, Social, Physical, Financial, Marital, and Parental.  The class also includes instruction in prayer.  Learn how the victorious Christian makes prayer an integral part of their Christian walk. This class will teach you the basic skills to be a successful Christian:

PRAYING – Participants experience the praying phase when they understand how to pray with the meaning of prayer and understanding how to spend time in communication with God.

“Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving.”  Colossians 4: 2(AMP)

HEARING - Participants experience the hearing phase when they either listen to the lesson being taught or read through the SALT workbooks on their own.

"But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them?"Romans 10:14 (MSG)

APPLYING - Participants can apply biblical truths to their everyday lives by answering the questions in the SALT workbooks and by taking action on what they have learned in each chapter.

"Don't fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear!" James 1:22 (MSG)

SHARING - Participants experience the sharing phase when they share what they are learning with a friend.

"Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works." Hebrews 10:24 (NLT)

When participants pray, hear, apply, and share the truth, they grow!

"And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." 2 Timothy 2:2 (NKJV)
